Korean-American Organization of Lexington

The care baskets were delivered to Lexington public schools and the communities by KSLC members and parents between 11/14 to 11/23.
Thank you to all members, KSLC students, and executives for participating in this care basket event to convey appreciation for those who work hard for the Lexington community.

11월 14일부터 11월 23일까지 각 학교과 관공서에 Care basket을 전달하였습니다.
전달은 KSLC 학생들과 학부모님들께서 수고해 주셨습니다.
렉싱턴 커뮤니티를 위해 일하시는 분들께 감사한 마음을 전하고자 마련한 이 Care basket 행사에 참여해 주신 모든 회원분들과 KSLC 학생들, 그리고 임원진들께 다시한번 감사의 말씀을 드립니다.

KOLex members and executive members gathered at the Lexington Community Center to pack care baskets for the Lexington public schools and community. Each care basket was packed with Korean snacks and gratitude cards made by KSLC members.
We appreciate the KSLC members and the KOLex members who participated in packing the care baskets.

렉싱턴 커뮤니티 센터에서 임원진과 회원분들이 모여서 각 학교와 관공서에 전달할 Care Basket을 포장하였습니다. Care basket 안에는 KSLC 학생들이 직접 만든 감사 카드와 한국 스낵들을 넣었습니다.
감사 카드를 만든 KSLC 학생들과 포장을 위해 참석해주신 모든 분들께 감사드립니다.

Harrington Elementary School held its International Day event.
At this event, KOLex executives and members with children who attend Harrington ran the Korean booth together. They introduced Korean food such as Bulgogi, Japchae, and Dalgona, and they also prepared traditional activities such as making Hahoe masks and Jaegichagi.
Thank you to everyone who worked hard to make this event a success and helped it run smoothly.

Harrington Elementary School에서 International Day 행사가 있었습니다.
이번 행사에서는 Harrington Elementary School에 다니는 자녀를 두신 코렉스 회원분들과 임원진이 함께 한국 부스를 맡아, 직접 만든 불고기, 잡채, 달고나 등 한국 음식을 소개하였고 하회탈 만들기, 제기 차기 등 전통 놀이를 체험할 수 있게 하였습니다.
행사가 성황리에 끝날 수 있도록 준비해 주시고 원활한 진행을 위해 수고해주신 모든 분들께 감사드립니다.

The Korean Kimchi Festival hosted by the Korean American Society of Massachusetts was held at Hastings Park in Lexington. We especially thank KOLex president Caroline Yang for presiding over the event. There was writing names in Korean on bookmarks, Kimchi making demonstrations, selling Kimchi and Korean foods, Jaegichagi, spicy food eating contests, along with various other events.
We thank the KOLex board members, volunteer members, as well as the students for participating in the event.

오늘 보스톤 한인회가 주최한 김치 페스티벌이 렉싱턴 헤이스팅스 파크에서 열렸습니다.
특별히 이번 행사에서는 코렉스 양희영 회장님께서 멋지게 사회를 보셨습니다.
우리말 이름 써주기, 김치 만들기 시연, 김치 및 한국 음식 판매, 제기 차기, 매운 음식 먹기 등 다양한 이벤트가 있었습니다. 원활한 진행을 위해 코렉스를 대표해 자원 봉사를 해주신 임원진과 회원분들 그리고 고등 학생들에게 감사드립니다.

KOLex held a semi-annual 2022-2023 fall meeting. At the meeting, the new board members were introduced, and the annual schedule, budget report, and future plans were discussed, such as registering as a non profit organization.
There was also a gift given to the former board members for their hard work.
We thank all the members who attended and shared their thoughts and opinions.

2022-2023 가을 정기 모임이 있었습니다. 이번 모임에서는 새 임원진 소개, 연간 일정, 예산 보고, 비영리 단체로의 등록 등 향후 계획에 대한 발표가 있었습니다.
그리고 전 임원진의 노고에 대한 감사 선물 증정의 시간도 가졌습니다.
모임에 참석하여 좋은 의견을 주신 회원분들께 감사드립니다.
