KOLex Online Auction for Care Baskets

Date & Time: Tuesday, November 10th, 8:00p.m. on Zoom

Please make a list and let an executive member know if you have any unused/slightly used items, books, and children’s items that you would be willing to auction off by November 8th. The auctioneer can choose to donate all the profits from the auction or a part of it to make care baskets for the Lexington community in KOLex’s name. With the COVID-19 pandemic, our goal is to give thanks to essential workers who have been helping the community run. In the care baskets there will be masks, hand sanitizers, snacks, and thank you cards.

We are looking for volunteers who would be willing to make thank you cards. Elementary, middle, and high schoolers are welcomed, and community service hours will be given to high schoolers who participate (one hour for four cards). Elementary and middle schoolers only need to make one or two cards. Materials will not be provided to students making cards.

Please email kolexlexington@gmail.com if you are interested in making cards by October 30th. The deadline for the cards is November 30th.

Care Basket을 위한 KOLex 온라인 Auction 안내

방식 : 사용하지 않으시는 새 물건, 새 것 같은 물건, 책, 아이들 용품 등을 찾아 11월 8일까지 임원진에게 옥션에 내놓을 물품 리스트를 알려주시길 바랍니다.
온라인 경매를 통한 수익금 전액 또는 일부 금액을 KOLex에 도네이션 해주시면 그 기부금으로 Care Basket을 만들어 크리스마스 이전에 렉싱턴 초, 중, 고 각 학교와 Superintendent Office, 도서관, 경찰서, 소방서 등 Covid-19으로 힘든 시기에 주민들을 위해 노력하시는 공공기관에 KOLex의 이름으로 전달할 예정입니다. Care Basket에는 감사 카드와 마스크(KF-94, 덴탈), 손세정제, 약간의 간식을 넣을 계획입니다.
그리고 감사 카드를 쓰고 예쁘게 꾸며 줄 학생들의 참여도 원합니다. 초, 중, 고등학생 모두 참여 가능하며, 고등학생의 경우 Community Service Hour(4장을 만들고 쓰면 한 시간)를 받을 수 있습니다. 초등, 중학생들은 한 장 또는 두 장만 만들어도 되며, 카드 재료는 각자 준비하시면 됩니다.
